The Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)
The mission of the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) is to promote excellence
in oncology nursing and quality cancer care. Through the organization's 30,000
registered nurses and other health care professionals, the ONS strives to lead
the transformation of cancer care. The ONS pursues their vision by initiating
and actively supporting educational, legislative and public awareness efforts
to improve the care of people with cancer. The ONS mission is based on a belief
in the following essential values:

The ONS has been working on behalf of oncology health care professionals
since 1975. Since that time more than 215 local chapters have been formed to
provide a network for education and peer support at the community level.

ONS Annual Conference
The 2006 Oncology Nursing Society's (ONS) Annual Congress will be held May 4 - 7, 2006, in New Orleans, Louisiana. The 2005 ONS Annual Congress was held April 28 - May 1, 2005, in Orlando, Florida. The ONS's Annual Congress is designed to be a "one-stop" conference, providing nurses with the education information they need.
